Whisky Indexes

WhiskyInvestDirect has developed two price indices to help track the value of in-cask grain and malt whiskies. The WhiskyInvestDirect Malt Index (WIDMI) and the WhiskyInvestDirect Grain Index (WIDGI) cite the value of a notional 4-year old whisky for malt and grain, respectively. These indexes rise and fall on a day-by-day basis, reflecting both commercially available market price data and the prices of recent trades on WhiskyInvestDirect, in whiskies of all ages.

They incorporate data from:

• Published industry data,
• WhiskyInvestDirect's bulk purchase of whisky direct from the whisky producers,
• Public broking data,
• Bulk Trade Bids from the industry to purchase stock on WhiskyInvestDirect,
• Deals on WhiskyInvestDirect, and
• Order prices from WhiskyInvestDirect's live markets.
